trakrGo and Sortly, compared honestly
The short version: trakr does not charge by how many products you hold, and Sortly does — 100 items on its free tier, 5,000 on its $299 plan. If your catalog is small and you need a second seat, Sortly costs less per month. Both count offline.

Where trakr is stronger
- No product limit, on any plan. Sortly charges by unique item: 100 free, 500 at $49 a month, 2,000 at $149, 5,000 at $299. A trakrGo catalog can be any size, for nothing, and trakr Inventory never counts your SKUs either.
- A free tier you can actually run a business on. One location, unlimited products, no card, no clock. Sortly’s free tier gives you 100 items, one custom field and one month of history.
- The trial does not ask for a card. Sortly’s pricing FAQ says a credit card is required and the subscription begins automatically when the trial ends.
- Extra users are bought once, not rented. $10 each in trakrGo, and unlimited users on trakr Inventory. Sortly’s seats are fixed to the tier — more people means a bigger plan.
Where Sortly is the better choice
- Sortly’s entry paid plan is $49 a month against trakr Inventory’s $299. For a few hundred items and a second seat, Sortly costs far less.
- Sortly exports more formats than we do: XLSX and a Dropbox backup containing your original photo files, alongside CSV and PDF.
- Sortly offers offline mobile access on every tier, free included. So do we — nobody has an advantage here, and you should distrust anyone who tells you otherwise.
- Sortly organises stock in nested folders rather than licensed locations, which is why its plans carry no location count. If your structure is deep folders rather than distinct sites, that may fit your head better than ours.
Choose trakr when
Your catalog is bigger than a few hundred lines and you would rather not pay by the item. trakrGo counts an unlimited catalog at one location for nothing, and trakr Inventory adds locations and reports without ever counting your SKUs.
Choose Sortly when
You have a small catalog, you need a second seat, and the monthly price is what matters most. Sortly Advanced is $49 a month for 500 items and two users — well under trakr Inventory. Note that its trial takes a card and converts to a paid plan automatically.
Questions
Is trakrGo really free, or is it a trial?
trakrGo is free permanently for one location, with no card and no product limit. Sortly also has a permanent free tier, capped at 100 unique items and one user; its paid trials require a credit card and start a subscription automatically.
How many products can I have in each?
trakr does not cap products on any plan. Sortly caps unique items by tier: 100 on Free, 500 on Advanced, 2,000 on Ultra and 5,000 on Premium. Sortly notes that quantities of an item do not count towards the limit — only distinct items do.
Do both work offline?
Yes. trakr counts offline on both trakrGo and trakr Inventory, and Sortly offers offline mobile access on every tier including free. This is not a difference between the two.
Can I move my Sortly data into trakr?
Yes. Export your Sortly inventory as a CSV and import it — trakr recognises Sortly column names automatically, so the mapping step is usually already done. The step-by-step is on our Sortly migration guide.
